Families from across Headley and the surrounding area came together for a lively community celebration at Headley Family Fun Day, held at Headley Chase last Saturday.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Headley Chase development, the free event welcomed over 120 visitors of all ages for a day filled with entertainment, food, music and family-friendly activities. From children enjoying classic fairground games and colourful face painting, to families relaxing with a BBQ and live music, the day created a vibrant summer atmosphere for the local community to enjoy.
Throughout the afternoon, guests made the most of a packed programme of entertainment, including a bouncy castle, garden games and traditional favourites such as Hook-a-Duck, Coconut Shy and Hoopla. Younger visitors were also treated to glitter tattoos, face painting and a host of live performers, including a magician, flower people and elephant stilt walkers, bringing plenty of colour and excitement to the day.
The sizzling BBQ proved popular with visitors, while sweet stalls, refreshments and the bar helped keep families fuelled as they soaked up the sunshine and enjoyed the live band’s feel-good summer soundtrack.
The event was designed to bring the local community together while also celebrating the area around Headley Chase, creating an opportunity for families, neighbours and local businesses to connect in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
Sarah Turpin, Sales & Marketing Director at Elivia Homes, said: “It was fantastic to see so many families come along and enjoy Headley Family Fun Day. The atmosphere throughout the day was incredibly friendly and full of energy, with children enjoying the entertainment, families making the most of the food and music, and the whole community coming together in such a positive way.
Headley Chase provided a picturesque setting for the event, showcasing the development as not only a place to live, but a place where community can thrive.
