Backing the Daggers with continued support for grassroots football

We have continued our support for the local community in Finchampstead by funding a temporary training facility for Finchampstead FC Under 10 Daggers, ensuring the team could continue to train without disruption while necessary improvement works were carried out on their home pitch.

In September 2025, the Daggers were left without a training ground for four weeks while their usual venue underwent resurfacing works. To support the team during this period, we funded the hire of a floodlit astroturf pitch, contributing towards the costs and allowing the players to maintain their weekly training schedule.

This latest contribution takes our total support for the club to more than £1,400 over the past three seasons.

Stuart Wilson, Daggers Team Manager, commented: “We are incredibly grateful to Elivia Homes for stepping in at short notice to fund our temporary training facility. Having access to a high-quality, floodlit pitch meant the boys could continue training as normal, which was so important for their development and team morale. Support like this from a local business makes a genuine difference to grassroots football.”

The gesture reflects our commitment to supporting the communities in which we build. We are currently delivering new homes in Finchampstead on Nine Mile Ride and are proud to support local initiatives that make a positive difference to young people and families in the area.

While the recent funding addressed an immediate need for the team, it also builds on our established relationship with the club. Over the past three seasons, we have supported the Daggers and their wider year group through kit sponsorship, helping provide kits for around 40 young players across four teams.

Sarah Turpin, Sales & Marketing Director at Elivia Homes, added: “As a business operating in Finchampstead, we believe it’s so important that we give back to the community. Grassroots football plays such an important role in bringing young people together and building confidence, teamwork and resilience. We are very proud of our ongoing association with Finchampstead FC and are so pleased we could offer some support in ensuring their training could continue uninterrupted.”

We remain committed to supporting local initiatives that strengthen the communities in which we build.
